It's been about a year since I've posted anything here. I've been wrestling around with how vastly different my work and direction are now from where they were when I joined dA, oh... over ten years ago. This site has grown and changed, people have come and gone, and here I am, wondering what to do about this mountain of awkward (though lovingly rendered) teenage fanart. Like many before me, I've considered scrapping this account and starting over - but this place was my home for a very long time. That art is the memory of a very important time in my life, and I'd hate to see it go.
So here's what's going on:
☆ I've moved all of that old art... out of my featured gallery, and into a folder for old art. Totally accessible, moderately embarrassing. Feel free to peruse it as you will (and I'm flattered that you care!), but do know that I don't necessarily feel that those pieces accurately represent my current skill set. (I'm still truly fond of a lot of those fandoms, and you can expect better fanart from me in the future!)
☆ I'm going to be uploading some of my current work for you to enjoy! Chances are, I'll be more active on Tumblr with things like sketch posts and webcomic updates, but I'd love to show you what I've been up to as well. And it would be great to hear from you!
A quick about me, since it's been a while:
- current sequential art MFA student, with a background in animation studies
- draws a lot of comics
- watching: haikyuu!, gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun, silver spoon, and some TV shows involving real live humans
- reading: brandon sanderson, check please, hotblood, ms. marvel, basically as many comics as possible please recommend things
So... hello, followers old and new! I'll be doing my best to get back into the groove here - thank you for your patience over the years, months, or day!
